WHO'S INVOLVED: Supporters of arts education and QuinTango fans are coming together for the premiere of QuinTango’s cabaret concert "Carlos Gardel & the French Connection." Have a dance lesson with Tango dance instructor Carina Losano , ballroom instructors Joe Slye and Gary Stephans, while enjoying the wine and hors-d'oeuvres. Then take your seat for the show, featuring QuinTango with pianist Jeffery Watson, actor/singer Chris Vasquez from New York and bandoneonist Emmanuel Trifilio flying in from Buenos Aires for this event. Tango dance demonstration by Rick Carter. Then dance to the eclectic sounds of DJ Mark Sakowski. Mark promises a good mix of swing, tango, latin, and foxtrot. Event is part of the Alexandria’s Kaleidoscope Festival.
WHY: Proceeds fund QuinTango’s workshops in Alexandria City Public Schools. QuinTango musicians and dancers will be working from October to June in City Schools. If you can’t attend the cabaret but want to support QuinTango’s ACPS outreach, you may contribute at http://www.razoo.com/story/Quintango. Your support, coupled with that of the Alexandria Arts Commission, is what enables us to do provide high quality arts experiences for Alexandria youth.
SEATING TIPS: The Carlyle Club is an intimate, elegant, vintage club. Tables seat 4 or 6 and booths 4 or 5. Booths provide the best view of the stage, but there is no bad seating. All seating is reserved. Organizing your group to purchase tickets on line around the same time should enable you to get seats together.
DINING  OPTION: 3-course menus, at a fixed-priced of $35, are available after the show.
